What his work focuses on
Valon was born in Kosovo and moved to Switzerland, where he has built his career across two industries that usually have nothing to say to each other. In 2011 he launched AlbanianFriends.com, an early platform for Albanians abroad looking for partners who shared their culture. The project won first place at the "Get in the Ring" international startup competition in Kosovo. Eight years later he returned to the same problem with better resources and launched dua.com, now headquartered in Zurich with over 1.1 million users. In parallel he is CEO of MIK Group, a Swiss business group in construction, real estate, and infrastructure. BE THE ONE came out of the gap between external achievement and internal self-trust. He started documenting his own process. Those notes turned into a book. The book forced a system. That system is BE THE ONE.
